This gorgeous, vintage wooden bead Walborg handbag was made in Japan. This purse belonged to my mother and she kept it in a box with some of her other vintage accessories from the 60's and 70's, so I venture to say it hasn't seen the light of day in several decades. The thread and general integrity of order the bag seems strong; the pouch zipper opens and closes as smoothly as the day it was purchased. There is a slight pen mark on the interior fabric but otherwise it is clean inside (see pics). There is also a chip in one of the beads near the top of the fold in the back (see pics) but is not very noticeable. This bag will make an excellent accessory in a variety of occasions. The bag measures (outside) 8.5" wide, 7" tall, and 1.5" deep. The handle extends approx. 8". Note: I could not get a good picture of the tag as it is tucked down in the bottom corner of the purse and wanting to stay in its folded back position but it is indeed an authentic Walborg bag and was "Made in Japan".
