These one-of-a-kind earrings feature long teardrops of rare AAA Indonesian blue wood opal (blue petrified wood). These polished slices have teal/turquoise-colored patterns against a black background. They are presented on my hand forged "button" sterling silver ear wires, which is accented with 6mm blue Apatite dots. Earrings are about 2 inches long by about 1/2 inch wide at the tops.

Indonesian Blue Petrified Wood is from ancient teak (hardwood) trees that order turned to stone. The Blue Petrified Wood is from trees approximately 20 million years old.
