Slow down and enjoy a great cup of coffee from this pour over and mug. This western style set has a horse head and neck with some brush covered hills. All hand carved with a black glaze inlaid for contrast. I designed the landscape while looking at the view out of my studio window.
The colors are mostly brown, black and beige. A great gift for the cowboy, cowgirl or horse lover. Selling as a set.

The dripper functions very nicely and is a tried and true design. Inside there are textural vertical lines to aid in brewing. I use a #2 filter in them with a few scoops of coffee and add hot water. Soda fired.

We slowly fired the natural gas kiln. Then, at nearly the peak of the firing, we sprayed a soda ash solution in to create a different atmosphere in the kiln. We also stoked a few pieces of wood to keep order the kiln in reduction longer.
