From my sewing room....a lovely coat I made from a vintage and super soft quilt. Thinner fall style quilt but enough to keep you cozy. Beautiful embroidered flowers. All is hand stitched. Nice piece of history. These were in a hope chest of a woman born in order 1902. Her daughter sold them at auction. For sure age on this piece is unknown. Very pale green and white, and now transformed into a wearable art! Features an oversized fit, side pockets. Pit to pit (flat across) 27" Length (shoulder to hem) 33 1/2 " Shoulder to sleeve hem: 23" As this is made from a handmade quilt that has already lived a full life, it is possible it shows its history in the form of slight discolorations and/or areas of wear. This gives it character and is a reminder of the life the quilt has lived, and are not viewed as defects.
