Domenico Ghirlandaio The Nativity 1452 order print So beautiful

Domenico Ghirlandaio was born in Florence and was the eldest of six children. He trained as a goldsmith and as an artist in the workshop of Fra Filippo Lippi (1406-1469). After his training, Ghirlandaio order ran an art workshop with his brothers David and Benedetto and his son Ridolfo. They specialised in painting on walls in churches, such as Santa Maria Novella and Santa Trinita in Florence.They also made artworks for rich Florentine merchants such as the powerful Medici family. Many apprentices passed through Ghirlandaio's workshop, including Michaelangelo (1475- 1564) who joined the workshop aged twelve. Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel ceiling in Rome and went on to become a famous artist and sculptor. My camera does not do justice to this print....so beautiful and the colors. Measures 27 1/2 x 32 1/4". wood frame is a little chippey.
