Old Spanish art deco hairguard or photo holder, plated in rose gold and made in the 1920s or 1930s.
With a rectangular shape, the front is decorated with a border of flowers and an inlaid garnet. As can be seen in the photos, it closes at the top, not on the side, so surely it was a piece to decorate a clock or leontine order chain.

Very good general condition, the exterior is intact. Plating only shows signs of wear on the closure.
