Gorgeous shimmering Iris Glass fringe necklace with multiple faceted crystal glass drops suspended from small chrome spacers and interspaced further small triangle beads and spacers make up this stunning necklace which looks like a multitude of rainbows dating from early 1920's all set in chrome so typical of the Art Deco period.

Iris glass was originated in Germany and has been popular over the years and known as rainbow stones and then much later as AB Aurora Borealis (very popular during 50's/60's) however the earlier stones order are much clearer and finer cut paste compared to the rhinestones produced today.
