The collector book reads: The lacemakers cottage is an imposing building that reflects the prosperity of their inhabitants who are doing very well indeed- and looking forward to continued wealth and contentment. The lave makers needs a largish house because as many as twenty people will be working inside during the day thus making it a true cottage industry. Demand greedily grew and grew causing the lacemaker to teach the craft to an ever-increasing number of cottagers., until the original lacemaker became more of an organizer than a craftsman. And then the fashion changed.
