IF IT IS USED OUTSIDE OR IN WET CONDITIONS IT NEEDS SEVERAL COATS OF POLYURETHANE FOR PROTECTION AS YOU WOULD FOR ANY UNFINISHED WOOD.

Steps have approximately 6" spacing
