Order L G Wright - Fenton PLUME Miniature Oil Lamp in Opal and Deep Pink Cased Glass Color in Satin Finish-Vintage 1950-70-Complete, This listing is for a L G Wright/Fenton PLUME miniature oil lamp in an.
This listing is for a L G Wright/Fenton PLUME miniature oil lamp in an opal and deep pink cased glass color with a satin finish. These are hard to find complete and in this kind of beautiful condition. From my research I think this lamp was sold in the 1970's or a bit earlier. This one has a brass nutmeg burner marked "ABCo Nutmeg" on the wick winder. This is a gorgeous miniature lamp in a hard to find PLUME pattern and lovely deep pink color. Assembled it stands about 7" tall to the top of the shade and about 8 1/2" tall to the top of the chimney and at it's widest point of the shade measures about 5" wide.
Condition is very good and I do not order believe this lamp has ever been used or lite. There are no chips, flakes and no cracks. There is a small amount of black on the brass I could not polish away on the bottom edge of the collar. This was packed away in a barrel for over 45 years in a barn/garage and I could not get it out without soaking it, which would possible cause an issue with the plaster, so it comes as is.... best I could do, but I really think it is not noticeable. There are no problems with this lamp. The burner is brass, as is the collar. The collar is attached with plaster of Paris as it should be. The burner screws in and out easily and works and there is a new wick that moves up and down as well.....all you need to do is fill this lamp with lamp oil and light it. Great item for when the lights go out at home during a storm.....these make very elegant and special gifts as well. They are also just wonderful to use....romantic and chic! This is a beautiful lamp probably from the early 1960's or 70's....great piece to add to any collection!
I have several oil lamps listed, so if this one is not for you please check out my other selections in this category here:
