Description

Product Name: Circa 1975 Original Studio order Pottery Jar with Earth Tones and Exposed Surfaces in the manner of Louis Raynor Iron Reduction Spots

The Charlie B Gallery of Carson City, Nevada is offering this pretty MCM jar with exposed surfaces and earth tone colored glaze.

This jar appears to have a name written under the lid in ink, which is not clear. The form and glazing is similar to the work of order Michigan State Professor Louis Raynor(1917-1999). Minor soiling found over the surfaces. I do not detect any post-studio chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. This jar has a nice ring when tapped. The finial is special and iron reduction spots are really cool. All fragile merchandise is shipped using the "double box" process.
