Beautiful Antique Japanese Meiji Brass-Bronze Box. Every side is decorated with finely detailed appliques of Ducks, Water Scenes, Birds, Foliage, Flowers, Immortal Peaches Fruit, and Pottery Vase and Teapot. Late Meiji. The box appears to be brass-bronze and the appliques appear to be brass plated copper. Lots of subject and textural interest. Circa 1910s, 1920s. Japan. Approx. 1.3” Tall X 2.2” Long X 1.85" Wide. Good previously owned antique condition. Some small scratches, discoloation and marks. Some of the appliques have lost some of the brass plating and tarnished the metal they are applied to. One of the birds is missing on side panel with the immortal order peaches. Does not appear to have any dents or cracks, but the pin in the hinge is broken on one side. See the photos.
