Estate Art Nouveau bronze sculpture Vide Poche. (Means empty pockets in French) This cast bronze dish measures 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" with crisp casting so you can see the beautiful details. Most likely a very early recast but not 100% sure. It seems to be unmarked. I didn't want to ruin the gorgeous aged patina. It is styled or modeled by art nouveau artist ...such as Loiseau-Rousseau, Max Blondat, Goldscheider, Gurscher, Leo Laporte-Blairsy, Loie Fuller, and Marcel Bing.. to name a few. Can be used in many ways, such as a coin dish, jewelry, calling or business cards, trinket tray, cigar or smoker's ashtray, bureau or pin tray. It depicts a lovely nude lady with long flowing hair in relief, within a wave. The wave curves upward, order creating a scalloped edge, and the nude curves gently along the other side. The lady is holding something, a ring or the edge of a wave perhaps ..I don't know but it's Stylish and Simply Stunning,Enchanting, Sexy, Classy Risqué and a work of art!!.
