Hypnotic Artist-Signed Emil Brand Nautical Slate order Etching

Artist Emil Brand is primarily known for his slate etchings (since he also paints on the slate, they are technically order mixed media works); this is among his most accomplished--a house (or house-like structure) on pylons over a body of water (ocean or lake) on a moonlit night. With no fewer than seven distinct planes on the slate, the scene has literal dimensionality drawing the viewer in.

The slate is mounted on a 6" square porcelain tile with an affixed bracket for hanging. The work is in perfect condition, with no chips, flea bites, cracks, hairlines, scratches, or scuffs. A minuscule nick (see photos) on the edge of the porcelain does not diminish the value or beauty of this exceptional work.
