Large 8vo; First Trade Edition, Second Impression, also printed in March 1927, in the publisher's brown buckram boards with gilt lettering to spine, now somewhat faded, top edge stained brown, cut edges, 16 illustrations throughout, very rare tipped in Charles Doughty Pamphlet after page 434, lovely fold-out map that does exhibit a tear on the fold but not in the vicinity of the printed map; no dust-jacket; A near fine copy of a rare book; Jonathan Cape, London March 1927.


An early British printing of Lawrence's abridged version of The Seven Pillars of Wisdom, which actually came out a number of order years after this book.

Found by The Wandering Poetess at an estate sale in Darien CT.
