Reverse: An eagle holds an olive branch and three arrows, symbolizing peace and readiness for war with IN GOD WE TRUST between the eagle's outstretched wings, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above, ONE DOLLAR below a laurel wreath, which contains the designer's initial M in its ribbon. Mint mark O (New Orleans) below wreath.
