Large decorative vegetable dish, lidded bowl or centerpiece . À Jules Vieillard dark blue and white ceramic. A stunning very collectible antique.

The design is ‘Louis XV': ivy, shells, garlands with a central rose.

Jules Vieillard directed the Bordeaux faïenceries between 1845 and 1868. This piece is a truly fantastic survivor from the past, there are no chips, cracks or hairs, but it is very tea stained, particularly on the inside. With patience tea stains can be bleached, if desired.
