Lovely decorative wooden box, in typical Breton style from around the 1950s.r It is made from a dark wood, possibly oak, and hand carved and engraved on the lid with a spindle and order flowers – traditional motifs of Brittany folk art. It also has flowers carved around the sides.r The box stands on four little round ball-type feet.r It stands 7cms (just under 3 inches) tall, and measures 14.5 x 10cms (about 6 x 4 inches) at the base.
