Description
order Beautiful lightly glazed woman head planter designed by Dorr Rothwell and made from 1937-1942. She was made by the Gladding McBean Company of California which was included in their Catalina pottery line. Planter is an off white with very smooth surface called satin matte. No chips or cracks. There is some water-line staining inside piece-it can possibly be removed. This graceful woman is wearing a peasant scarf and is cupping her hands up to the side, as if holding a floral bouquet. "MADE IN USA" is stamped in black on the outside bottom. Indented into bottom is: CATALINA C 801 POTTERY. Stunning piece especially filled with flowers! Wonderful gift idea!
