Outlander's heroine, Claire, has become famous for her shawls. This shawl or Sontag, as crossover shawls were known as, is a simple workday shawl. A simple garter stitch triangle, Claire manages to make it look elegant.

This one is hand-knit in a medium gray blended wool. It can be pinned or tied in the back, although Claire often sticks the ends into a belt in the back.

One Size fits Most in medium gray as shown in pic, 75” wing to wing and 30” down the back.

Small/medium in light gray 29” down the back, 62” wing to wing.
