NEW ARRIVAL! This authentic cushion cover is entirely made by hand in a picturesque village workshop of Sardinia island, Italy. It takes at least one day to weave each pillow using traditional manual looms, a craft that has been handed down from generation to generation over many centuries.

The raised texture is an unique process of a weaving technique called 'pibiones' from ancient times. The 'pibiones' technique is a particular type of stitched relief, created from the countless grains that make up a design. These designs are made by twisting the yarn around a needle which is arranged in a horizontal position on the loom; the needle is then pulled away, therefore order creating a raised effect.

Every Sardinian cushion is full of ethnic character and one of a kind. The wool and linen filaments come from the local villagers and each cushion is hand dyed individually using a palette that is inspired by nature and botanical colours.
