Lidded Asian Basket ~ Early 20th Century Basket ~ Reed Basket ~ Wedding order Basket

This basket has a nice aged patina and is in good condition. I was told by a friend who's more knowledgeable about baskets than I am that it looks like it may possibly be a vintage Chinese wedding basket from the early 1900s. There doesn't appear to be any breakage on the weaving and the handle is functional and in good condition. Overall it's nice decorative piece. Use it as a decoration or for storage. Approx 16" high with the handle and 9" diameter with the body being 10" high from base to the top of the lid. No markings of any kind on this piece.
