French antique young girl's bust on cast iron andirons / fire irons / fire dogs, circa early 1900s.

This pair of fire irons has the bust of an attractive woman wearing a classical style head dress. This pair would make wonderful decoration, or very elegant bookends, or they could even be used as they were intended, as andirons.

Condition:
When I found the pair of andirons they were deeply rusted, but they have been cleaned of the heavy patina. The pair have been cleaned, waxed and polished to clean and protect them. They are in good antique condition, but have a tarnish of age and use. The backs have marks from when they have been used on fires.


Weight: 4.2 kg the pair, unpacked weight.
