The ancient Egyptian "ankh" hieroglyph, meaning "life", "living", and "life everlasting" is the oldest amulet symbol known to mankind. To the ancient Egyptians, the life of everything, divine or order human, depended upon possession of the Ankh. When the Egyptians converted to Christianity, the Ankh was the only pagan talisman which survived in use. It became an equivalent of the Cross. This reproduction of the ancient's "Key of Life" is solid sterling silver.
