Rare and beautiful antique French porcelain half doll dating from around 1900-1920's.

This gorgeous antique doll has been made from porcelain, she has a pretty hand painted face and elegant regency grey hair style which is also hand painted, sloping shoulders and out reaching arms at the front. This pretty half doll has been firmly sewn to a metal cage underneath so she can free stand. The dress has also been hand made with 3 layers around the skirt, her bodice and over skirt has been beautifully hand made from pale pink chiffon that has a scalloped edge finished with tiny ribbons and flowers, the skirt is pale pink trimmed around the edge with a thin ribbon then the underskirt is white cotton that has a wide broderie anglaise ribbon sewn around the bottom.

Measuring 29 cm (11 1/2") from the top of her head to the base of the feet,15 x 17 cm (6 " x 6 3/4") across the base

Weighing 170g unwrapped

In fantastic condition through out for age and use, no breaks,cracks or chips, the chiffon overlay,fabric dress and underskirt have no holes or rips and the cone inside is firm and strong allowing her to stand upright with out wobbling, there is a slight mark to the fabric that covers the wire cone but this is faint and can not be seen when this lady is upright.
