Vintage Queen Elizabeth II Coronation 1953 June 2 Royal Commemorative Cup, Saucer & Side Plate order - Midwinter Burslem - Her Majesty QE Souvenir

A rare vintage Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Commemorative Bone China Cup, Saucer and Side Plate Tea Set Trio. The Royal Souvenir tea set trio celebrates Her Majesty the Queen's the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on 2nd June 1953. The English Royal Souvenir cup features a sepia portrait of the Queen with her Royal crown above and flags either side and says “June 2 1953” above her crown. Below the image in a banner it says “Coronation, Elizabeth II”. The cup reverse also has the crown and says “E II R” below.

The saucer has the same crown and “E II R” image. The side plate has the same cup image in the centre.

All are decorated with metallic gold trim.

The saucer and side plate are clearly marked order on the base with a black stamp with “Midwinter Burslem, Porcelain, England”. The cup has a gold mark, probably the mark of the painter who decorated the cup with gold.

Rare set and difficult to find in this fabulous condition. No one else will have a cup, saucer and side plate like this

The cup is approx. 7.5 cm (2 7/8 in) high, with a rim diameter of 8.5 cm (3 3/8 in). The saucer diameter is 14 cm (5 ½ in). The side plate diameter is 17.5 cm (6 7/8 in). The set weighs 460 g (1 lb 0.3 oz).

The Queen Elizabeth Coronation Commemorative tea set trio is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is not discernable crazing. The metallic gold is in excellent condition with some very minor wear. Please view photos.
