This is another of artisan Deborah Roberts' witty brooches. The person I bought it order from described it as a man with a dog, but to me it looks like a gaucho or cowboy with a teensy horse. The figure wears a decorated shirt and pantaloons, and gaucho-style hat.

Layered and incised in Robert's signature post-modern style, the brooch is further decorated with either glass or semi-precious stone cabochons. There is no indication of metal content so I don't think the silver-tone metal is sterling. The piece from 1986.

The hat and gloves in photo are for styling only and not for sale.

Size: 3" x 2 3/8"

Marks: Hand signed by the artist and dated '86

Condition: Very good vintage condition
