48”x30” hand woven loomed and fringe tied rug. Pretty colors in this rag rug. This rug looks like vegas lights at midnight. Kind of electric!! All the beautiful colors in this rug are perfect for Spring, summer or a pop of color in any season. The rag rug is fully machine washable. This rug will give you many years of use. This rug is heavier and thicker as it is made from socks!! Brand new, but flawed socks that couldn't be sold as first quality. This rug has a lot of texture. It is truly one of a kind.

Hand loomed rugs are reversible. I make mine with 12 strings per inch on my loom which makes a sturdy rug that won't fall apart on you. I also use a sewing machine to sew the strips together before weaving. Handmade and hand tied in Southern Illinois!! These rugs are fully machine washable and should be hung up to dry. I throw mine over a door to dry or hang outside on the clothesline. The fringe is a little over 3 inches long on each side which is not included in the measurement.

I work in my home-based studio in beautiful Southern Illinois. The handcrafted items in my shop are constructed with natural fibers (wool, linen, cotton) as well as synthetics such as double knit polyester and upholstery fabrics). I don't like to let any fabric go unused! I also like to use vintage fabrics and other vintage finds (chenille and heirloom bedspreads, blankets, etc. ) I make all of the rugs in my shop. All of the photo styling and photography is done by me as well. I source some of my fabrics from Pendleton® Woolen Mills, a six generation family-owned company that has been in operation in the USA since the early 1900s. I also use socks that are new but didn't quite make the grade of perfect straight from the factory. The socks have been a fun addition over the past year and I've made many nice soft, thick and heavier rugs in some of the most gorgeous color combos. Most of the time the rugs I create order are one or two-of-a-kind, which means you will have something that not every one else has. I do have a custom listing in my shop where you can choose your own colors, the number of rugs needed and “some” sizes.
