I've recently become familiar with the term "Bonkei" which is a Japanese artform of miniature landscapes and I think that is a fitting tradition to reference for such pieces as this even though it is probably not a pure representation of the tradition.

This is a fantastic little scene in a broken Mikasa Ceramic...
No, it was not broken on purpose...
This was a tragedy turned toward creation.
The price is reflective of the art that it is, not a reflection of the ruined ceramic that it started as. If I hadn't made this, it would be in a landfill.
