Stunning hand crafted polychrome ceramic vase by well known North Carolina pottery artist Ed Weintraub of Lakewood Pottery, Durham, North Carolina. Each of his creations are one-of-a-kind, signed and dated on the bottom. This vase was completed in 1997. A beautiful work of art, the high-fired copper glaze features multi-color swirls of caramel, rich blue, and aubergine overlaid with decorative patterns and bands of gold. The artist signature and date are written on the side at the bottom in gold. In excellent like-new condition (other than some black marker on the base), the vase has no chips, cracks or other condition issues.
