Original MCM Circa 1968 Listed order Studio Potter Artist Mardi Wood (1936-) Glazed studio pottery ewer form SIGNED Prieto Grimm Protege

The Charlie B Gallery of Carson City, Nevada is offering this MCM glazed ewer form for sale. Per Vasefinder: Mardi Wood (1936-) studied at Mills College, where she was a student of Antonio Prieto and Portland State University, Oregon, where she was a student of Raymond Grimm . Our research indicates Mardi also lived in Corte Madera, California and Portland, Oregon to just mention a couple other locations. A portion of her exhibition record includes College of Notre Dame, California. Mardi exhibited at the Syracuse Ceramic Nationals in 1964.

This ewer form is signed with impressed M and iron Mardi. There are no post-studio issues, such as chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Original factory glaze order blips noted over the surfaces. This pot has a nice subtle ring. All fragile merchandise is shipped using the "double box" process.
