Lovely vintage brooch and pendant with a hand-painted Renaissance-style miniature of Virgin Mary under glass. Beautiful details, bright colors. The filigree setting (800 silver stamped) is decorated with heart-shaped filigree and red coral-like glass cabochon stones. Charming item at a very good vintage condition. The glass seems to have collected some dusty under it which could be easily be cleaned if the back of the brooch is opened by lifting the "tongues" that keep the backing in place (I leave this up to the buyer). Very elegant item with bold colors and powerful simplicity. Much better in person, photos don't do it justice. Offered with matching sterling silver chain

About 1.25 x 1 7/16 inches. Chain 18 inches long. 10.5 grams.
