My husband was an outdoorsman. He liked all the woodsy colors. If I brought pink into the house, he'd grumble, "Hmmm ... Pink?"

He always let me order do whatever I wanted, but I knew he preferred other colors. So, I held off on the pink.

Well, sadly, my husband passed away and slowly my decor has drifted away from the woodsy to fresh farmhouse with lots of whites and blues. Then, one day I said to myself, "Hmmmm ... pink!" Sweet.

Now I have pink. Rosie pink, white pink, raspberry pink .... ooo, it makes me happy! It's delicious! I would still trade it for him any day, but pink is a cheery reminder of the joy he brought his family.

It's a happy thing!
