Vintage Unusual Plaster Dancer order Pair, Old Harlequin Chalkware Masked Couple Set, Black with Gold Mid Century Decor

Vintage black and gold harlequin dancer pair in a stylized order mid century form. They are so heavy I wonder if they are supposed to be bookends? Very detailed and nicely done. There is some missing paint with white plaster peeking through here and there. I had these for a long time before I realized there is a thin crack in her neck. Hard to see unless you look for it. No chips. There is a vaugely familiar C in a circle mark on the back of each dancer. Almost like Treasure Craft or Pottery Craft but a bit more detailed. If you know who made these, convo me, I would love to know! These measure around 12 inches tall.
