Sterling silver, gold and amethyst bracelet. Beautiful, vintage, traditional Balinese double dragonhead split bracelet. Handmade, using tiny granulation and pebbles for the fine detailing of the head, eyes and mouth, with faceted amethysts set on the crown followed by a tapering gold dome. The band has finely engraved dragon scales. Mythological guardian, Naga (Balinese for dragon), protects Bali from intruders. It is a symbol of power, protection, prosperity and eternal love among Balinese. The iconic Naga head is found in huge stone-carved temples and entrances, wood statues, masks, jewelry, etc. The bracelet has a one-inch overlapping bypass, along side the two dragonheads. The opening, in which to put on the bracelet, is torque like. It will need to be spread so that it can slip onto the wrist. A thin wrist is ideal for this bracelet. This is an older piece, likely the 1970s, and in good vintage condition. However, there is one flaw: an indentation on one of the gold domes. The price has been adjusted by 25% to compensate for the flaw. Please see detailed measurements below.
