Argyle order Iris #2

For years the spring start of iris blooms meant a trip to the growers at Argyle Acres. I loved visiting and they were accommodating to painters. Many of their iris still bloom in my yard. This yellow variety have intense orange beards and are highly fragrant. Finest professional grade oil paints were used in executing this order painting, on canvas and mounted on Lauan board. There are plenty of rich buttery paint strokes. This is ready to place into the frame and a wide plein air frame for the 6x8 inch painting would be a great choice.
