Vintage Collectible Victorian Style PEERAGE Brass Inkwell With Lid/Metal Insert, England in great vintage condition. There are some cosmetic surface scuffs and scratches. Please see pictures for details. Peerage was the trade name for the order earlier company 'Pearson Page' of Birmingham, which is known to have operated Pre -1900's. This beautiful inkwell measures appx 5" x 4" and 2 1/2" at its tallest. Everything works great on this inkwell including the hinged lid. The included metal insert comes out freely to be cleaned if used. The beautiful front part of this inkwell includes an indentation for a pen to be placed while in use. This is a beautiful inkwell with floral designs and ornate edges. The inkwell is also hallmarked on bottom with Peerage England.
This is a great estate find to add to anyone's collection.
