Walled City | Original Monoprint order | 11.75 x 14.75 inches

Original monotype, printed by hand on an etching press using traditional intaglio and relief printing techniques. Printed from actual cardboard boxes instead of a traditional copper or wood printing plate. Each layer is a separate inking and run through the press, and the ink is applied directly to the surface of the cardboard with either a brayer or inking card. For this piece I worked with the flattened out boxes just as I found them, without modifying them in any way.

This work is part of an ongoing series of multi layer architectural prints. Imaginary cities built from cardboard, exploring themes of fragility and impermanence.

Printed with oil based professional quality intaglio ink on 11.75 x 14.75 inch Rives BFK 300 gsm white cotton printmaking paper with four straight cut edges.

Completed in 2022 at Aperspective Press in Felda, FL

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: I am currently shipping to Canada, the UK and select countries in order the EU with USPS Priority Mail International or DHL Express. The buyer is responsible for paying any HST/GST/VAT due to customs authorities. In some countries this can be a hefty tax of 20% or more on the price of the artwork, so please take this into consideration before purchasing. For orders to the EU under 150 euros, Etsy will collect and remit VAT automatically at the time of purchase.

I'm currently not able to ship to France, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Greece and a number of other countries due to new packaging regulations. My studio will be registered to ship to France starting in early 2023.
