Ancient order Viking amulet kopoushka / Ancient medical instrument spoon / 9th – 11th century AD

Kopoushka - a product from 4 to 15 cm in length with a tapering end, on which there is a small spoon.
The end of the hoop opposite the spoon, in addition to the decoration, often had a ring or slot, most likely for attaching the hoop to some garment.
Where did women wear kopoushki? Differently. For some peoples, they either attached to the tape, which tied a braid, or hung over it. For others, they hung on a long chain, fastening to the bodice of the dress. Third - on the belt.
Why do experts suggest that in some nations the nest was also a talisman? Because often they are found on the same cord with a cross. As you know, before people believed that thundering pendants enhance the magical power of the amulet.
