It is signed "Mexico .925" verifying both its origin and the quality of the silver used order in its construction. It is marked with an artisans make from the prominent silver jewelry manufacturing town of Taxco. It is in excellent vintage condition and has an opening that it 2 1/2 inches at the wide point and has a very sturdy hinge to facilitating mounting and dismounting.
