Jet beads are believed to ward off maljo / maljue and are traditionally given to newborns to protect them from "evil eye". They are also worn by adults for the same protections or as a tribute to their island heritage.

These chains are made by hand - each link is made individually and expertly intertwined for both quality and appeal.
