Antique 19th century textured linen hemp shift (hospice shirt).
HD red cross stitched initials on left front.
Length about 41"
Width across chest over 21".
Front slit opening about 13" with 3 mother of pearl buttons.
Pure soft cotton sleeves about 15" long.
Gussets have been added for wearing ease both under the arms and the sides as this is 19th century linen woven on a narrow loom.
