50s Green Floral Party order Dress XS, Vintage Satin Full Sweep Skirt 1950s Rhinestone Buttons Fit 'N Flare, Extra Small

This is a stunning 1950s full skirt party dress! It's swishy dark green satin with an olive and brown toned floral print. It has some condition issues, so please be sure to read the full description below. This sleeveless fancy summer dress is incredibly figure flattering, with a square neckline, wide shoulder straps, a defined waist with a matching fabric belt, and a huge crisp full circle skirt. The bodice is lined with brown satin inside and the skirt is unlined and has a 1 inch hem allowance finished with dressmaker's ribbon. The dress closes with an 11 inch hidden green metal Talon brand side zipper, and there are two 3 inch wide horizontal back panels that button closed at the center back with two gorgeous brown celluloid buttons adorned with light and dark green rhinestones!

It's in FAIR to GOOD condition, and it presents well, in person. On close inspection, there are numerous holes in the skirt, at least eight that we see, the largest of which is 1/2 inch across and located 6 inches below the waist in the front. There are several other areas of little holes and pinholes visible when the skirt is held up to the light. There is some dye shift in the colors noted around the arm holes, on the shoulder straps, the belt buckle and at the bottom hem, and a couple of small brown spots on the skirt front, that blend in with the print. The top button is missing one dark green rhinestone. All said, it still looks amazing and the holes are just not that noticeable in the volume of dress fabric when the dress is worn.

There are no tags or labels. This garment comes from the estate of a former librarian and mom who loved and saved all her adorable 1950s clothes. For laundry care, we recommend professional dry cleaning only, by a cleaner familiar with delicate vintage items. This satin material is likely acetate rayon, so please do not wash this garment, as acetate can shrink when wet. It fits like a modern Women's XS and measures:

Bodice Length - 15 inches,
Length - 41 inches,
Hem Sweep - 136 inches.
