Vintage sterling silver locket pendant. Acquired from a private estate collection, this old locket is circa mid-century—1940s to 1950s—possibly earlier. It is a puffed round shape with a simple, blank face and a roomy interior that was traditionally used to store a small keepsake like a picture, mini rosary, or lock of hair. It is hinged at the base to open discreetly from the back, rather than the side as more common lockets did. Rare and highly collectible. Stamped “Sterling” on interior. 1” diameter. Perfect for wearing order on a necklace chain or cord. Excellent pre-owned condition with a gorgeous natural patina commensurate with age.
