Rocky order Butte Jasper Necklace

Rocky Butte Jasper has quickly become one of my favorite jaspers to work with. The variety of colors and patterns in each piece is so unique and different. When I found this rock order at the Rocky Butte Mine this past Spring, I saw this patterning on the face of the stone, I knew instantly that I wanted it to be a show piece for a necklace. The contrast between the blue and orange and red is striking! I am known for being a very simple designer, and this piece shows that as well. I added a sterling silver tube to hold the chain so it acts more like a bib necklace. The sterling silver chain is dainty but holds the piece well. I added a mountain cut out on the back of the pendant showcasing the view of the mountains I had as I collected this special piece of rock.
