This luxurious original vintage Mid-20th Century art glass bowl designed by Ercole Barovier for Barovier & Toso and executed in Murano Italy in approximately 1950. This hand-blown art glass bowl features a gorgeous deep order mauve colour with rich inclusions of gold avventurina flecks in a swirling pattern with bullicante (controlled bubbles). The glass exterior is cased by a beautiful clear glass. This bowl incorporates the Cordonato d' Oro technique where twisted ropes or gold are applied in each section of glass one of the most beautiful Venetian glass techniques of the period. The bowl is of a substantial density and measures approximately 4" length by 4" width by 2.25" height. The bowl is excellent condition.
