Yellow Ruffle order Bowl / Fused Glass

This yellow bowl just sings happiness. We cut 2 pieces of glass to full fuse. Before we put it in the kiln, we added pieces of confetti glass, stringers of glass and ground up bits of glass called frit. Some of the bits of glass are transparent and some are not. Then, following a strict schedule of time and temperature we fused the glass into 1 piece. Lastly we fired the piece again to the melting point and gravity pulled it into the shape of our mold. The bowl measures approximately 11 inches across and the tallest ruffles are 2.5 inches tall. Hand wash.

The art glass pieces we create have been designed and handcrafted in our glass studio located on the southern Outer Banks of NC. Our creative process includes selecting and cutting specialized art glass and shaping to enhance our designs. Lastly, we use dedicated glass kilns to fire the glass multiple times (as needed) to produce a finished piece. We use digitally controlled kilns to follow a strict annealing and cooling schedule to ensure the final piece is as durable as it is enjoyable. Each design is uniquely different, so expect slight variations in size, glass color and texture. All of our fused order glass pieces are food safe unless otherwise noted. We recommend not putting your piece in the microwave and hand washing as you would all of your fine china and glassware. Stand not included.
