Antique Webster Glass Trivet with Sterling Silver Overlay 6" Floral Motif order

This elegant antique 6" diameter glass trivet was made by Webster and features ornate sterling silver overlay. The classic pattern includes a series of large flowers along with curvilinear scrolls. There is a cartouche at the center that has not been monogrammed.

The trivet is in very good condition and displays beautifully. The glass is free of chips and cracks and the sterling overlay is complete with no breaks. As an antique, the trivet shows signs of age consisting of minor scratches/scuffs to the silver along with areas of tarnish that are mentioned for accuracy. The trivet stands .25" tall and measures 6" across. The side of the trivet is fully hallmarked reading "WEBSTER STERLING" along with the letters W Co pierced by an arrow. The piece weighs in at 10.8oz.

This highly collectible Webster sterling over glass 6" trivet would be a wonderful addition to a collection of antique silver table accessories and is order ready to be pressed into service when serving hot dishes. The piece is also perfectly suited for displaying an antique teapot or could be used under a vase. It also looks great housed in an easel and showcased on a shelf or mantel. A lovely and useful find!
