Overview: Up for sale is an incredibly cool Pennsylvania WPA style oil painting. This piece is framed under glass. I have not removed the glass or the backing, so I'm not sure exactly what material it is painted on, but it looks like a canvas board. Could also be masonite or even paper. The painting shows a stooped man sitting on in a doorway with a spring garden outside. I love the gravitas of the painting. It is unsigned, but there is quite a bit of information handwritten on verso, indicating that it was painted by Harry Gieb in 1946 and that it depicts the "spring house at Grandpa Coffman's below Doylestown." It is framed in a period wood frame. Condition: The painting is in very good condition, showing a couple paint chips at lower center. Frame has some minor dings. Measurements: order Painting measures approximately 8.75 inches wide x 6.5 inches high. Frame measures approximately 9.5 inches wide x 7.25 inches high.
