I bought this beautiful classic parka 3 or 4 years ago at LL Bean in Freeport, Maine, and didn't try it on at the store. I got home and it didn't fit. It has been hanging in my closet. The cost was $299. It's a solid dark blue. The jacket is the warmest Bean makes. I washed it just to freshen it up. I have it cinched at the waist but that can be adjusted for personal taste. Laying flat... I measured armpit to armpit on the bottom of the openings (armpits side of the hole). From side seam to side seam is 29.5 inches. Then I measured that same spot (the side seam under the arm) to the edge of the zipper and that measurement is 15". I took all the measurements on the inside order of the coat.
